Live Events Marketing Associate

About the Role
We are seeking a Live Events Marketing Associate to remotely support the marketing for our live onsite events on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional who is passionate about marketing, has a creative eye, and is eager to grow. You will be coached and mentored by our marketing team while gaining hands-on experience in design, content, social media, and video editing.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has some proven creative skills and is motivated to continue learning and developing within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design: Create engaging visuals and branded materials
- Creative Copywriting: Write short, compelling marketing content for social media and other platforms.
- Social Media Support: Assist with content creation, posting, and community engagement across key channels.
- Video Editing: Edit short-form videos and promotional clips for digital campaigns and events.
- General Marketing Support: Provide assistance to the marketing team on creative projects and onsite event needs.
- Weekend & Evening Flexibility: Be available to support marketing and onsite team requests primarily during evenings and weekends.
- Interacting with Staff & Volunteers: Support the onsite team by collaborating with internal staff and volunteers during campaigns and onsite events.
Qualifications & Skills
- No bachelor’s degree required.
- Familiarity with an editing software and a basic understanding of design principles.
- Portfolio of previous creative work (social media posts, designs, videos, etc.) to showcase skills.
- Basic knowledge of writing creative marketing copy.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Some exposure to video editing tools
- Passion for marketing, creativity, and willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take feedback.

You’ll thrive by embracing feedback from our mentorship team, rapidly developing your skills across design, copywriting, and video editing, while building strong collaborative relationships with staff and volunteers during live events.
Within months, you’ll evolve from executing guided tasks to independently leading creative campaigns to increasing conversion and contributing original ideas that enhance our marketing impact.
