Ustadha Yafa Aweinat completed the memorization of the Quran in 2009 and has since continued her study of tajweed and the various recitations of the Quran. Frequently Asked
Questions

Who is this program for?

The level 2 experience is exclusively designed for students who successfully completed level 1 of the Tarbiyah program, and it is designed to enhance critical thinking skills, decision-making, problem-solving, Islamic knowledge in core areas, and real-life application. One of the primary objectives of level 2 is to challenge students to bring out their best qualities and raise their standards in various areas of development.

Do I have my own portal to access everything?

Yes. Every student will have their own login account and portal with resources, links, and relevant information.

What will I have access to with the Tarbiyah program?

Members will have access to private groups with qualified mentors, mandatory weekly sessions, a private portal login account with resources, access to bonus Q&As and guest speaker sessions, virtual socials, and a journey of immense growth alongside other participants, inshaaAllah.

Is the entire program virtual?

Yes! It’s designed for efficiency in a virtual world.

When does the program take place?

Fall 2024 cohort starts on 8th October 2024, once a week and will run for 3 months.

Where will we communicate as a group?

All members will be assigned a private group with a mentor and mentees, and communication will take place regularly in these groups (e.g., Telegram, etc.).

What if I can't attend all the weekly sessions?

The live sessions are mandatory as they serve as the primary benefit of spiritual mentorship, and they serve to also cultivate a student’s consistency and dedication. Failure to attend sessions repeatedly without a valid excuse may result in the suspension of the student. We urge attendees to note the dates and times in advance in order to schedule the program into their calendars before it begins.

Will the weekly sessions be recorded?

For the sake of confidentiality and comfort for all attendees and mentors, and due to the mandatory attendance for greater benefit, the live sessions will not be recorded.

However, students who take notes from the live sessions may share them in the private groups for those who missed live sessions with valid excuses.

Can I sign up for one seat and share it with a family member?

No, unfortunately. Unlike live seminars and other AlMaghrib programs, the tarbiyah program is designed to serve individuals with their particular backgrounds, interactions, and experiences alongside their peers in a confidential virtual space.

Will sisters and brothers all be in the same private group?

No. As many studies have found, women and men (and boys & girls) are more likely to learn and achieve their goals in separate groups. For the sake of mentors and attendees’ comfort as well, and due to the sensitivity of some gender-specific matters to be discussed, the groups will be sisters-only and brothers-only, inshaaAllah.

Will I have continued access to my group of mentees after the program ends?

Yes, definitely. One objective is to create new bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood and for friendships that are lasting, inshaaAllah. You’re encouraged to make these connections during the program, and bonding will be one of the secondary objectives and benefits of the program.

Will I get credit for this program as part of my journey towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree?

Yes. As the Tarbiyah program is required for the new degree program, students earn credits for the successful completion of the program.

What's the refund policy?

You can request for a full refund until October 7th (the day before the program begins). Please email us at tarbiyah@almaghrib.org

Is Financial Aid available?
