Canadian Instructors Begin to Take Over

The nation up North has begun to stretch its muscles from coast to coast. AlMaghrib Institute proudly introduced three Canadian instructors earlier this year that have taken our Canadian Qaba'il by storm.

Vancouver embraces a gem and a powerhouse instructor, Dr. Reda Bedeir. After completing his Bachelors and Masters in Arabic, Dr. Reda did a double Ph.D from Al-Azhar University, one of which is entirely on Surat Yusuf. Carrying a lifetime-worth of achievements, Dr. Reda has served many positions such as UN Interpretor/Translator and Associate Professor at Al-Azhar University; he also authored many researches and papers, and has translated numerous books. Since joining AlMaghrib, Dr. Reda wowed students in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and will soon teach in London (Ontario), Edmonton and Bradford (UK) inshaAllah.

Prior to introducing Shaykh Navaid Aziz as our new instructor, a lot of students of knowledge have been anticipating this news and following his career throughout his time in Madina University. For those who don't know, Sh Navaid was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He has a degree in Commerce from a Western University, and then he got accepted to and graduated from Madinah University. Since his official introduction, Navaid Aziz has taught students in Ottawa and Windsor and is scheduled to soon teach in Montreal, Calgary and Birmingham (UK) inshaAllah.

Shaykh Abdurrahman Al-Hejazy hails from the home of AlMaghrib HQ and the home of Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef in Ottawa. The two shaykhs share a pleasant history in College Park, Maryland where they shared the Imam position for Taraweeh. They both made the move to Ottawa where Sh Abdurrahman held one of the most prominent Imam positions in the country while completing his Ph.D at Carleton University. He rocked the community with a weekly halaqa that attracted 600+ Muslims to the masjid consistently. Since he joined us, Sh Abdurrahman has taught in Toronto and Windsor and is scheduled to soon teach in Calgary inshaAllah.
