AlMaghrib Forums in Western Universities

Here is an email we received:

-----------------------------------
I just thought i would share some interesting and nice news that i just heard. A friend of mine who is studying history at Michigan State University was sitting in class the other day and his proffessor who is tenured and a PHd was talking about Islam and authenticity and how we grade our hadith and so on. In order to show the class some points on Hadith he opened a web page and guess what it was. It was our forums! He talked about hadith and used some of the topics on our forums as references.

As Salaamalaikum:

MashaAllah, you are having an effect, but I think that you need to reach out further.

Please if you can find someTurkish speaking teachers who can do seminars in Istanbul and to get the ball started on helping the learning and following the Sunna. Truely they have lost Islam and are crawling around in the dark. It's time to make connections, and form a strong in penetrable quilt of protection for all Muslims. This can not be done without knowledge. I was there and when I asked about Ashura, some one quoted a hadith of Hussain ibn Ali bin Abu Muttalib. You see, what I mean. To neglect them would really be something that we might be held resposible.

That's a good news...considering it is from Michigan State :) Perhaps this should serve as an incentive to make AlMaghrib forums more academic.

Maybe we should send the professor a free invitation to an Al Maghrib Seminar - Allahu 'Alam but if he is fascinated by Al Maghrib, he might be interested to come and that would be awesome opportunity for Da'wah

Thoughts?
